Hello, my name is Divada-Kamia Wilson, and I’m humbly asking for your help in reaching a pivotal milestone in my life: completing my undergraduate degree at Clark Atlanta University. I’m currently facing a financial hurdle as I work to secure funds for my final semester. Unfortunately, I have reached the maximum limit for federal financial aid and scholarships, leaving me without the necessary resources to finish my degree.
This journey has been anything but easy. As a first-generation college student from a low-income background, I’ve faced countless obstacles, but I’ve never let them deter me. Over the years, I’ve balanced my education with the heavy responsibility of caring for my mother through cancer treatments. I’ve experienced the instability of homelessness, sleeping in my car and at a shelter, all while maintaining my studies. On top of these challenges, I’ve also navigated personal struggles with mental health and trauma, but through it all, I have remained determined.
Despite these hardships, I have kept my eyes on the goal—to walk across the stage as one of the first HBCU graduates in my family in May 2025. With God’s guidance and strength, I have persevered. I’m proud to share that I’ve already received multiple job offers and have accepted my dream role as a tax accountant with one of the Big 4 firms, set to begin after graduation.
Now, I stand at the threshold of completing what I started, but I cannot do it alone. I am reaching out to my community to help me cross this final bridge and make this dream a reality. Your contribution, no matter how small, will push me one step closer to graduation and to a future filled with possibility, where I can give back to others as I’ve always dreamed.
Thank you for your time, generosity, and belief in my journey. Together, we can make this final push a success.
