On December 20, our lives were forever changed when we received the devastating news that our sister, Kami, had been shot. We have always feared this due to came beginning trans but we never thought this .The incident has left her fighting mentally and physically. Ware asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time.
Kami was shot in the side, and while the bullet passed through her body, it caused severe damage to her stomach and internal tissues. She has been hospitalized since that day, experiencing constant pain, internal bleeding, and the inability to keep food down. Doctors are still working to understand the full extent of the damage, and we’re awaiting results from recent scans.
Currently, Kami has lost feeling in her right side, and her recovery is uncertain. After being discharged from the hospital, she’ll need to relocate to Texas to be with her sister, who has graciously offered to take her in and provide the care she desperately needs.
Unfortunately, Kami does not have medical insurance, and the costs for her treatment are overwhelming. We are raising funds to cover her medical bills, relocation expenses, and daily living costs while she focuses on healing. Her sister’s home in Texas will provide a safe environment for her to recover without the added stress of financial burdens.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department has arrested the two individuals responsible for this senseless act, but the investigation is still ongoing, and we do not know why this happened. What we do know is that Kami was left in the street after being shot, and we are incredibly thankful for the quick response from the police who were alerted , saving her life.
We are asking for your support—whether through donations, sharing this campaign, or keeping Kami
in your prayers. Every contribution will make a difference in helping her get back on her feet. No amount is too small, and your generosity means the world to us.
Thank you for being a part of Kami’s journey to recovery. We are so grateful for the love and support during this challenging time.
