Support Kali's Chemo Treatment
Donation protected
UPDATE JUNE ‘25: I want to thank you all for the continued support of my girl Kali! The stronger chemotherapy treatment unfortunately was too much for Kali. I made the decision based on what I want the quality of her life to be and took her off of the chemo pills. She is still on her special diet and goes in for routine vet checks. She is developing tumors as I expected but as of right now I am not moving forward with any surgeries or medications. Eventually, she will go in for a full body scan to see if the tumors have moved internally, but we will cross that bridge when we get there!
She is such a happy girl. Her energy is back and better than ever since detoxing her from the stronger chemo. She is happily prancing around the shop with me whenever I’m working and loves being around the cats at home.
UPDATE NOV ‘24: Kali had her surgery on October 3rd, 2024, and had four spots removed. Two tested positive for the mast cell tumors and unfortunately showed that the chemo Kali has been on for the past four years (on and off) no longer works. The funds from this GoFundMe will continue to cover her surgical procedures and medications and will now cover the cost for her new chemotherapy pills.
I am hoping switching to this new chemo, as well as making adjustments to her diet will continue to keep the tumors at bay. As always, thank you to all who have been supporting in, both financially and through your prayers and sweet words! Kali and I are feeling the love.
FULL STORY HERE:
Hi everyone! My name is Leanne and this is Kali, my English Cream Golden Retriever. Kali is eight years old and has been undergoing treatments for mast cell tumors since she was four.
I started bringing Kali in to work with me at Xanadu Hair Studio so I could keep an eye on her while she went through her chemo treatments. Everyone loves seeing Kali during their hair appointments, and she gets a lot of visitors from people who don't even have an appointment! Including all of our delivery guys, who make sure to bring her treats even when they're not delivering any packaging to our door. Kali also goes around town and stops by several stores to say hello (and get treats of course), including our friends at Rhinebeck Bank.
Kali is well loved by everyone, including myself and my family. And unfortunately she continues to get more mass cell tumors. Each tumor found requires surgery and a six-month round of chemo pills. She has an upcoming surgery on October 3rd, 2024 to remove more spots and have them tested for cancer cells.
Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just a prayer!
Thank you everyone :)
