Hi, my name is Kali. (Kalisheaxo)
I’m a stay at home mom to a beautiful girl and a handsome son. Their father & I have always done everything we can to give them a stable, loving home, even when things were tight. Lately, though, life has hit our family like a truck! It’s been so much stuff happening to us back to back. We just lost our only car & uber + Lyft has been eating all of our money up.
For a long time, we’ve been barely making enough to get by, we finally reached the point where I had to start applying for jobs because we simply couldn’t afford for me to stay home anymore even with budgeting & me going without. Now we are facing eviction. I’ve been doing everything I can down to updating my resume, applying to positions every day, and trying to take interviews whenever possible & calling jobs but being out of the job market & not having a car or any childcare has been making it next to impossible to get hired anywhere. I do not currently have any transportation, childcare, or any family nearby to help or that I could stay with if we were to get evicted.
right as I started this process, we lost our only car. Now we have no transportation to get to job interviews, potential work, grocery shopping, or even basic errands for the kids. Everything feels like it’s piling up all at once. Well it doesn’t feel like it, IT IS piling up all at once. Not to mention there’s limited public transportation in our area.
I’m also a social media content creator, and while I love sharing motherhood, routines, and our daily life online, I’m still just a regular person behind the scenes. I’m not making money from it yet. I’m just another mom who is one financial hardship away from losing it all the same way so many families are right now.
I’m asking for help to prevent us from getting evicted & to hopefully raise money to get a reliable car so I can get to work, support our family, and keep us from falling even further behind. Anything, absolutely anything, helps. Even sharing this means so much to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, and thank you for any support you’re able to give
