Support "Kali" the sanctuary horse in 2025!!!
Tax deductible
Hi - my name is Lindsay and I'm fundraising today to raise $1560 for Kali - a local sanctuary horse. Kali is a black mustang mare who was gathered in 2000. (Currently 24-25 years old). Kali is a very sweet older horse... she somehow manages to become everyone's favorite girl... and unfortunately, she cannot be adopted out due to her injuries... she has been in the care of the Equine Assistance Project since 2015 when she developed a stifle injury which ended her career as a riding horse. Her owners had made the hard decision to put her down, but Kathy at the Equine Assistance Project took her in and has kept her safe and happy ever since.
Kali will live out the rest of her days as a sanctuary horse.
The Equine Assistance Project currently rents a barn in Petaluma. The barn is not set up for public events so they rely heavily on donations and fundraising. Unfortunately, 2024 has been a rough year for donations and they did not take in as many donations on Giving Tuesday as they normally receive - so I decided to try my hand at fundraising.
THE MATH: I need $1560 to cover Kali's hay bill for 2025 - that's $30 per bale (1 bale per week) x 52 weeks in a year.
Anything extra can go towards her vitamins/supplements and her annual checkup/dental. And if we somehow manage to get even more - we can give them extra for their other 3 sanctuary horses - Rhythm, Bayou & Little Girl.
When we've hit our goal - I will create a special FB group so we can all present this gift to the rescue together - and get updates on Kali throughout 2025.
If you can't donate $30, that's fine - every dollar helps and is so appreciated. Thank you for reading!
