Kalena Moore, my kitchen manager at Speedee Mart in Greenwood, Nebraska, is facing an incredibly tough time. On April 29th, 2026, she was involved in a serious car accident with her three children. While her kids thankfully escaped with only minor injuries, Kalena suffered multiple broken bones and fractures. What was supposed to be a two-hour surgery turned into seven hours as doctors discovered more injuries. She is still in the hospital, unable to walk, and will need extensive physical therapy to recover.
Kalena is not only a dedicated worker but also a loving mother who always puts her children’s safety first. Because of her quick thinking and commitment to safety, her kids were properly restrained and are safe. However, Kalena now faces a long road to recovery. She has lost her vehicle, is unable to return to work, and is missing out on precious time with her children. The financial strain of medical bills and lost wages is overwhelming for her and her family.
Kalena is the kind of person who never asks for help, but right now, she truly needs it. I am committed to supporting her in any way I can, and I’m reaching out to our community for help. Any donation, no matter the size, or even just sharing this fundraiser, would make a huge difference. Thank you all for your support and kind words during this challenging time.
