My 18-year-old grandson, Kaleb, was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease in August 2024. He began dialysis shortly thereafter and has been on it ever since. He was placed on the kidney donor list several months ago. He received his kidney this past Wednesday. He is currently hospitalized in Birmingham, AL, and his family is close by his side. They will be required to stay in the area for several months, which is 4 hours from home. They will be staying at Ronald McDonald House during this time. My daughter, Amy, will not be able to work as she will be there with her son. Donations are needed to help cover expenses while they are away from home.
