Kaiya is my dog and she has lymphoma. She started showing bumps on her body and pain in her eyes just two weeks ago. Now she hardly opens her eyes, and we were recently informed it’s due to tumors in her eyes and the bumps on her body are tumors as well. My family has had four dogs in the past but Kaiya was the one I most connected with. When I wanted someone to play in the snow with, she was as already outside eating the piles. I hated cardio but she always motivated me to run to the duck pond. She waited so patiently at the park for her turn to sprint across the field with me. She only turned 6 in May, my family and I figured we’d have at least three more years with her. I’m working my summer job not only to pay for my upcoming apartments rent but now for her chemotherapy and treatments. We need help in treating her, anything helps genuinely. Kaiya knows “I love you” because she can say it when she wants treats. So when I tell her that I love her, I don’t think she quite understands what I mean. We’re hoping that through this gofundme and her treatments we can shower that we love her.
