Kaitlyn has wanted to work with animals since she filled out her "All About Me" poster when she began preschool at the age of three. She spent her high school years working at our local animal clinic which only confirmed that this was the path she wanted to take. She got accepted at her dream school, NC State University in one of its most difficult programs, Animal Science and is a Dean's List student. She worked in the lab at Butterball in an effort to gain research experience. Kaitlyn earned a spot as a VetPAC intern, is this year's Virtual Vet Camp Coordinator and has volunteered at the NCSU Dairy Unit, Swine Unit and shadowed veterinarians weekly at an equine hospital. She has been accepted to study abroad this summer to learn about veterinary physiotherapy and animal behavior.

As her mother, I am so proud of all she has worked for and accomplished. I am setting up this fundraising page in hopes that she will be able to take advantage of this amazing opportunity that will help her move forward down her path toward becoming a veterinarian. Kaitlyn and our family have made many sacrifices so that I am able to run a small nonprofit that serves children in need in our local area. I don't want her education to become one of those sacrifices. We are so grateful for any help or support you are able to give so that she may continue her studies and do the work laid upon her heart.
