Hi everyone,
I am raising funds to help cover the deposit and first month’s rent as I move across the country to Utah for an exciting new chapter. I have been offered a new job with a non-profit organization, and I will also be joining a 10-year-old church plant in Utah County from my previous church in Tennessee. I am so excited to help serve and grow the community there in this new position and at this church plant full of people I already know, trust, and love.
The church plant, Christ Fellowship Church , was started by two families that I have known for about 14 years—one of the couples I went to undergrad with, and the other I went to church with before they were sent out in 2015. A year later, a dear friend from my small group in my church and my year in undergrad joined them also. Since then, I have kept up with them and seen some friends, church members, and connections join this church plant that the Lord has kept and grown. I have visited them twice, once 8 years ago and a second time a couple of months ago. (Here’s a video of Timothy, an SBTS grad, who was sent out from my previous church about ministry in Utah.)
After 2 1/2 months of three rounds of interviews, the Lord has done more than I could ask or imagine to provide a dream job in Utah that will allow me to combine my skills, work experience, and training in ministry that I love with an excellent organization. My position will be as a patient services manager overseeing the non-medical staff and volunteers of a pregnancy resource center in Salt Lake City. I am so grateful and humbled by this opportunity and have seen the Lord’s provision and answer to many prayers in doing far more than I could have asked for or think—all glory to Him!
I’m so thankful to the Lord for growing me in the completion of my Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary during the years of 2019-2025 up to this point before going and for His provision as I work towards the completion of my final phase of my ACBC certification in Utah.
Moving is expensive and starting over can be difficult, and my start date is in January. At the encouragement and advocacy of many trusted friends and church members, I have decided to set up this GoFundMe account to ask for support in sending me off to Utah to start this new chapter! I’m trusting God’s timing and provision, and I’d be deeply grateful for any support to help me get settled and begin this next season strong.
Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and generosity!
In Christ’s grace alone,
Kaitlyn
