Support Our Dad: Creating Lasting Memories
Donation protected
I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share my dad’s journey and to ask for your support. In 2020, he was diagnosed with head and neck cancer, and since then, he has bravely faced a series of grueling treatments, including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. Although he initially responded well, the cancer returned in 2022, leading to even more challenging treatments that he has endured with remarkable strength.
Recently, we learned that the cancer has spread to the vagus nerve at the base of his skull, causing him significant pain and discomfort. After a consultation on October 17, 2024, his oncologist informed us that he has about eight months left if he opts not to pursue treatment. He does have one chemotherapy option available, which offers only a 30% chance of success. Despite these odds, my dad has chosen to fight through the pain and try the chemo, hoping for a reprieve.
As we navigate this difficult time, we’re looking to create special memories for him by fulfilling items on his bucket list. We want to help him experience joy and love during what we know might be his final months. We’re asking friends and family to come together to support this effort, whether through donations or simply by keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping us create lasting memories for my dad. Thank you for taking the time to read his story, and for your kindness and support.
With love and gratitude,
Kaitlyn (His Daughter)
