On Wednesday December 17,2025 Kaitlynn’s life changed in an instant. While driving, she noticed a small cat curled up in the middle of the interstate. True to her big heart, she couldn’t bear to leave it in danger. She pulled over, checked for traffic, and went out to rescue the animal.

In that moment, Kaitlynn was struck by a car traveling at 75mph. Miraculously, she held the cat so tightly that it was saved — later reunited with its owners thanks to its microchip. But Kaitlynn herself suffered devastating injuries.

She is now in critical condition, facing multiple fractures to her back, both legs, and pelvis, along with other serious injuries. Her journey will include an extended hospital stay, numerous surgeries, and then transfer to a rehabilitation facility before she can begin the long road back home.

Because of these injuries, Kaitlynn will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. The financial burden is overwhelming: medical bills, lost wages, hotels and travel for her family to be by her side, and the costs of ongoing rehabilitation.
