Hi Everyone, I am making this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend Kaitlyn Ward. If you have not heard, she was in an accident at the drag strip due to someone else's negligence that landed her in the emergency room with a shattered wrist (in her dominant hand) and several weeks to months of unknowns as she has to navigate the remaining part of recovery and follow-ups with doctors and surgeons. While we are so grateful that this accident wasn't any worse than it could've been, I want to assure that she can take the time to recover as needed without the rush of getting back to work just to pay the bills. Kaitlyn is a business owner, does not have health insurance, and since this accident happened on track (at no fault of her own) - all of her costs will be out of pocket. First and foremost I want to make sure that Kaitlyn does not drown in medical debt and that until she has made a full recovery she can pay all of her monthly expenses. As medical bills start to come in, if they exceed the goal of this GoFundMe, I will also adjust the goal accordingly to make sure that we have her covered.

Kaitlyn is an absolute angel of a human and would do whatever she could to help others in need so I hope that we can see the drag racing community keep her on her feet during these hard times. If you know Kaitlyn, you know that she always has a camera in her hand a smile on her face, and she was so stoked to be starting her own racing journey. The amount of love and support that has been shown to her so far has been outstanding and I only hope that we can show out more.

Kaitlyn also wanted me to note that she will not be using this money and spending it to fix her car, she will just be using it for medical bills and monthly expenses.
