About Kaitlin

Kaitlin is the Head Assistant Teacher at High Road School of Anne Arundel County….and she is a rockstar! She is extremely dedicated to helping the students and the staff. Kaitlin goes above and beyond not just for her school, but in everything she does. Kaitlin is incredibly kind, caring, and supportive. She will drop whatever she is doing in a split second to help someone. Not only does Kaitlin help in her own school, but she jumps at the opportunity to help in other High Road locations when other schools need support. She volunteers her personal time to support school events and the school. Kaitlin truly has the “Whatever it Takes” mentality. Kaitlin has also held the title of High Road School of Anne Arundel County’s Staff of the Year. She is an extremely valued and loved member of the High Road family.

Recent Tragedy

Kaitlin recently had a significant seizure at work, which also caused her to fall and hit her head. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Within the past 24 hours, she has required 2 emergency brain surgeries and is currently in critical condition at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. She has been placed in a medially induced coma and is on a ventilator. Doctors will try to wake her up in a couple days and see how that goes. If all is going well, she will require another surgery in 6 weeks to reattach part of her skull. It is going to be a very long road to recovery, but Kaitlin is strong, and we have no doubt she’ll pull through!

That being said, Kaitlin is going to have significant medical bills. She also has her current bills the need taken care of (rent, car, phone, etc.). We are trying to raise as much money as possible, so Kaitlin does not need to worry about these expenses while she recovers. Any amount helps and is appreciated. We also ask for all the prayers, good vibes and thoughts for Kaitlin.
