Hi, I am Linnea Muller and my dear friend and dog groomer, Kait Leno, is facing a very challenging health battle and needs treatment at the Mayo Clinic. After exhausting local options, the Mayo Clinic offers the best chance for answers, hope, and healing. However, the costs of travel, medical expenses, and lodging are overwhelming.

Kait is a fighter, but she and her husband can’t do this alone. They both have done so much for the community, taking in donations for animal rescues and grooming dogs that are difficult to work with due to abuse or lack of care. They have always been there to help others when in need. Now Kait and her family need helping hands themselves. Update: From Kait's husband

My wife has had a very challenging health battle for years. She has been diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that causes extreme tissue fragility throughout her body. Tissue fragility means that the body's organs and other structures are extremely vulnerable to damage. This can also cause severe fragility of the skin, blood vessels, abdominal organs, eyes, gums, bones, joints, etc. This causes Kait to be in 24/7 full body pain and also puts her at risk of organ rupture, and possible blood vessel tears, along with many other complications.

This disorder has not yet become treatable in Rochester and Western NY. Kait's only option is treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida where they can evaluate and build her a treatment plan to work together with all of Kait's medical specialists in Rochester.

Kait and I have been running our own business for 14 years, however due to her medical restrictions she is now very limited on how much she can physically do. This has created some difficulties for our family and we have had to reach out to family and friends for support. We appreciate any and all support at this time in helping us with funding the expenses of getting Kait to the Mayo Clinic and her other medical expenses. Thank you for your support!
