Hi everyone, we are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our best friend and family member, Kaiser.

Kaiser has always been the life of our home—whether he's jumping in the swimming pool or carrying his log and forcing you to toss it for him. Sadly, our world was turned upside down when we had to rush him to the emergency vet. Upon arrival, they had to rush him into emergency surgery to have his spleen removed. After his surgery, he did not show many signs of improvement. He was then sent to a pet hospital in Cincinnati, where they had the ability to run more scans and tests, also to attend to him while he was healing. While he was there, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 aspergillosis, a fungal infection that is attacking his brain.

Despite the advanced stage, Kaiser is a fighter. He still has so much love to give and a wag in his tail, but his medical needs have become overwhelming. To give him the best quality of life and a fighting chance, he requires high-dollar medication, several vet and neurology appointments a week, and rigorous treatments to prolong his life.

The costs for his treatments are estimated to be several thousand a week on top of the $20,000 that we are in debt from this so far. As much as we wish we could cover this alone, the financial burden is more than we can carry right now.
