Support Kai's Professional Elevation!
Donation protected
Our dear friend Kai has put aside doubts, fears and financial constraints to pursue a professional elevation in her passion and calling. We are taking it upon ourselves to create this page to help her financially to reach her end goal. We are reaching out to those who may be in a position to further her along with less stress, as any little support will help and we are sure we all know what it feels like to aim for a dream!
When asked why this path, why this course, Kai had this to say;
"What you resist persists." - the idea of becoming a counsellor or coach has persisted for over 10 years in different formats (life coach, clinical counsellor, youth counsellor, trauma counsellor), nothing resonated 100% in that given moment in time, thus I always assigned it for later in life, a post retirement venture...
In the meanwhile for the last 7 years, I've been on a journey of self discovery, personally and professionally intricately intertwined. I've designed/facilitated workshops and ended up coaching & mentoring over two hundred participants/clients, and what I discovered was this: “We cannot teach people anything. We can only help them discover it within themselves.” ~Galileo Galilei
Then I discovered this program at UBC for Organizational Coach with certification. I learned about what it has to offer and everything felt aligned (aligning with the body of work I've done and specialized in with Design Thinking and Service Design Doing, as well as individual & team coaching), it resonated with me so much that I felt anxious/scared and excited. Despite the financial costs, cue "Do What Scares You"!
So I am taking a leap of faith towards the first step of becoming a certified organizational coach... in spite of the fears."
