Support Kai's PICU Recovery

Thank you to all who have taken the time to read our story. My name is Kate and pictured is my daughter Kai. My sweet Kai is an amazing, strong, resilient, and loving child. This year has proven this more than any of her previous seven years. 2025 has been the year of the hospital for Kai as she battles the symptoms related to her RETT Syndrome. My sweet baby girl has once again found herself in the hospital; this time she is in the PICU (pediatric intensive care unit) at Phoenix Children's Hospital. What was a simple stomach bug quickly spiraled into days filled with seizures (most days averaging 100+ seizures), lethargy, and an inability to eat or drink.

As we continue on this journey to regain her strength and health, we currently have no plans for discharge. Each day she regains a bit more strength, but we have a long road ahead.

Funds will go towards primarily paying for rent to ensure that she has a stable home to return to.
