my name is Kai and I have been dealing with chronic pain in my neck for about 6 months now, after multiple doctors visits and MRIs I was told I have a herniated disc in my neck which is causing a compression on my nerve and is the result of the pain. I learned only a week ago I need surgery, they are replacing the disc with a metal disc which will put me out of work for a month or so. I was made aware of this so suddenly and I am barely afford rent/bills as it is so I'm terrified. since this is so sudden Im not able to financially prepare for this procedure and I won't be able to work for a month at the least, I have no way of making rent or bills not to mention the medical bills. I made my boss aware of all this and he started telling my fellow coworkers I might not be coming back to work which makes me very concerned since it makes me think I won't have a job after I finally heal. all I'm asking is to help me out with at least being able to afford a roof over my head while I recover from this surgery, I hate asking for help like this but I feel so defeated and hopeless.
