Hi everyone,

We are reaching out for support for our 3-month-old grandson, Kai Raymond Paul Champagne, and his parents during an incredibly difficult time.

On Saturday, Kai became ill and was taken to the ER but was sent home with a diagnosis of a simple sickness. Sadly, his condition worsened overnight. His parents rushed him back to the hospital on Sunday, where further tests revealed he is suffering from bacterial meningitis.

Kai is currently in the ICU, undergoing multiple tests, and his condition remains critical. This has been heartbreaking for our family. His father, our son, recently started a new job and has had to take leave to be by Kai’s side. Unfortunately, the leave only covers a portion of their expenses, leaving them struggling to manage hospital bills, rent, utilities, and basic needs during this crisis.

No parent should have to worry about finances when caring for their sick child. With permission from Kai’s mom, we have created this GoFundMe to help relieve some of that burden.
