Call me Kai!

I am a non-binary citizen of the US gathering money to afford a VISA that will let me go overseas on a field study trip to Japan!

I struggle to put myself out there, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Growing up, I remember being more alone than not. I must thank the media I consumed back then for raising me better than my parents could on their own. Animation gave me a dream, and good writing told me the truths that can be found in real life. I want to give back by sharing my own story, and how I believe we can improve upon the world by doing small things in our daily lives.

Even doing that would not satisfy my desire to help our planet, which is why I'm studying as an Ecological Restoration Major.

My school is partnering with Wildlands Studies, which is a group which has been providing international environmental field courses for undergraduate students focused on wildlife, bottony and ecological sciences. When I heard they would be opening positions for a Japan study, I sent in my application within the same hour. I was approved after the first phone interview and have since been struggling to find ways to fund this adventure.
