Support Kai's Battle Against Leukemia

On Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, our lives changed forever when we learned our sweet, strong, and loving 3-year-old son, Kai, was diagnosed with B-ALL Leukemia.

Kai is the most heartfelt and kind child you could ever meet. He is full of life, passion, and strength far beyond his years. He adores spending time with his family, playing with his sister Korah, and is happiest surrounded by his toy trucks and firetrucks. He dreams of being a firefighter one day, just like his dad.

This past weekend, while spending time with me, I noticed that Kai wasn’t himself—he was very lethargic and unusually tired. I took him to the emergency room at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital where initial tests suggested severe anemia. As more testing was done, we received the devastating news no parent ever wants to hear: Kai has leukemia.

Kai begins his chemotherapy treatment on Wednesday, July 16th. His first phase will keep him admitted at the hospital for 10 days. After that, if all goes as planned, we’ll travel weekly to Children’s Hospital for chemotherapy for approximately 8 months. Once his body responds, his treatments will shift to monthly for up to 2.5 years.

Both of us-his parents—are currently unable to work as we stay by his side, traveling between Coudersport and Pittsburgh (3.5 hours each way), and caring for Kai through this journey.

We are humbly asking for prayers, love, and support as Kai fights this battle. Any donations will help with missed work, travel, lodging, and expenses as we navigate the long road ahead. We don’t expect anything—but if you feel called to help, we are endlessly grateful.
