Hi family!
For those who don’t know me, my name is Kairah Prioleau, a second-year psychology scholar from Orlando, Florida. A trumpet player in Florida A&M University’s Incomparable Marching 100, I came up Fall 24.
I’m reaching out with a humble heart because I’m working to return to school this fall after facing an unexpected financial setback. Unfortunately, my student account balance was sent to collections, and before I can re-enroll, I must clear that balance.
Stepping away from school has been incredibly difficult. I worked hard to get to FAMU, and being part of the Marching 100 quickly became more than just playing music, it became a family and a support system that helped me grow both personally and academically. Right now, everything I worked toward has been put on pause. But I’m determined not to let this setback end my journey. My goal is to return to FAMU, continue pursuing my psychology degree, and rejoin the band that has meant so much to me. I believe deeply in the future I’m working toward, and I’m doing everything I can to get back on track.
That’s why I created this GoFundMe. I’m asking for help raising the funds needed to clear my balance so I can re-enroll and continue building the life I’ve been striving for. Any donation, no matter the amount, moves me one step closer to returning to The Hill—back into the classroom and back on the field with my section. And if you’re unable to give, sharing this page would mean just as much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you’re able to offer. Your encouragement truly means more than I can say.
With gratitude, Kairah ❤️
