Support Kailynne's Recovery and College Dreams
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kailynne Peters. I’m 18 years old, and on June 10th, my life was turned upside down when I was involved in a serious car accident. A driver made an illegal U-turn directly in front of my car, causing a collision that forced me into a pole. My car was completely totaled, and I suffered a severe injury: a broken femur that required me to be airlifted to Cooper Hospital.
In the early hours of June 11th, I underwent emergency surgery to place a pin in my leg to stabilize the bone and prevent muscle loss. Later that same day, I had a second major surgery to insert a rod into my femur, which I will live with for the rest of my life.
I spent seven difficult days in the hospital, unable to move from my bed, doing physical therapy once a day to begin regaining strength. After that, I was transferred to an inpatient rehab facility where I continued to work on my recovery, learning to walk again with crutches and slowly rebuilding my mobility.
This accident has had a huge impact on my life. I missed the chance to walk across the stage for my high school graduation, and I’m now facing significant medical bills and no transportation as I prepare to start college this September.
I’ve never been someone to ask for help, but right now, I could really use some support. If you’re able, any donation big or small would help me cover my medical expenses and work toward getting a used car so I can pursue my college education and begin to move forward from this life-altering event.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity.
