Hi everyone, I’m reaching out as a mom and grandma to support my daughter Kailyn, her husband Austin, and their two young children during a sudden and stressful transition. Austin is being medically retired from the military, and although they were told they’d have more time, his official end date has been moved up to May 11th, a lot sooner than expected.
Because of this, they must quickly leave California. They’ll stay briefly with friends so their daughter Liberty can finish school, then travel to Tennessee to stay with family for about a month while they wait for Austin’s VA income, which likely won’t begin until July or August. During this time, they won’t have steady income.
While the military will move and store their belongings, they’re facing immediate expenses, gas for a cross-country drive, a few hotel stays, food, and daily needs for their family of four. They have a small emergency fund, but it won’t go far given the circumstances and short notice.
If you feel led to give, any amount would truly help ease this transition. If not, sharing or keeping them in your thoughts and prayers means so much. Thank you for supporting my family during this difficult time,we are incredibly grateful.
