Support Kailin's Battle Against Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Donation protected
In November of 2024, my grand-daughter Kailin Charmley (31yo) was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help her and her family, John (Spouse) and Caleb (7yo son) get through this difficult time.
The medical expenses so far have included two surgeries a thorasic surgery to get the mediastinal mass that was discovered in a CT, then MRI, and PET scan. Then her chemo port placement surgery. Her chemotherapy regimine ABVD (Doxorubicin, Bleomycin, Vinblastine, and dacarbazine) requires her to have a pulmonogist who initially cleared her for chemo and monitors her lung functioning due to the risk B (bleomycin) can have on her lungs. She is required to have heart scans as well as the A (doxorubicin) has potential effects on the heart.
The chemo should be administered every two weeks but Kailin's white blood cells have been taking major hits after each chemo resulting in her getting treatment every 3-4 weeks instead. Because of this she may need WBC shots to increase those numbers and possible Vitamin C infusions or other alternative natural treatments to prevent serious infection that her body would struggle to fight against. Since the treatment has taken longer than expected, her FMLA is running short and now the added stress of returning to work without being even halfway through treatment is something they're trying to work through.
Kailin is a dedicated mother who has been pushing through this dark time with positivity and asking for help isn't something that comes easy to her. She's very grateful for the support, love, kindness and prayers she's received since her diagnosis and any little bit that someone is able to contribute to her cause, she's extremely grateful. She asked that this be done out of ability as she couldn't handle being the cause of financial burden on anyone.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help relieve some of the financial pressure and allow Kailin to focus on what truly matters: healing. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others who might be able to help. Your prayers, thoughts, and love are deeply appreciated.
Thank you for standing with Kailin—together, we can make a real difference.
