UPDATE 10/21- Update on Kailey - At this point she is still intubated and cannot talk. She IS awake & able to communicate a small amount through hand and eye movement, but we can’t wait to hear her voice. She knows who everyone is when they come to visit & will grab your hand when you talk to her!

More and more testing is being done everyday and we just are waiting on results. Her body is slowly healing.

We ask for these specific prayers - Pray she passes her breathing test and that her lungs continue to heal.

Hey Everyone! My name is Jordynn. I’m Kaileys sister. I wanted to start this Gofund me to help her and David (her boyfriend) cover the costs of her current and upcoming medical expenses as well as living expenses for the unseeable future.

Most of you know Kailey, but for those who don’t I wanted to tell you a little about her. She is one of the most wholesome, caring and beautiful people I’ve ever known. She loves with her whole heart. She loves lizards (especially her bearded dragon), snakes, spiders, “screaming music” as I call it, scary movies, Halloween & if you see her I can almost promise she’s dressed in all black. She has a beautiful daughter Audree & two future step daughters who she loves so much.

For her whole life, she’s struggled with an intense and brutal case of psoriasis. She never complains and would never ask for any type of sympathy. But this time, I’m reaching out to ask for help and for prayers for her and our family.

Before all the recent events hit us, Kailey started to have a minor flare. Nothing she couldn’t control, but unfortunately, it escalated faster than we could imagine.

Without giving too much of her medical information out, I will tell a little about what she’s experiencing. When her flares get this bad, you can imagine her as that of a burn patient. It’s painful and debilitating. It flares up her arthritis severely and a lot of her pain comes from that. After being in the hospital a couple days she landed in the ICU at Harris regional. After spending multiple days there, she started experiencing other medical issues. She then had a feeding tube placed & was put on a BiPap machine. Mission would not take her because she is too sick. Today her skin is much much better, but unfortunately she is being transferred to wake forest to be in a spot where they are better equipped to handle her case. Which puts a strain on David. Many people don’t realize how severe psoriasis can be and how it can affect other parts of your body.

With her now being 3 hours away from David, he will not be able to work if he wants to stay with her in the hospital. I wanted To be able to take some of the pressure off of the both of them when it comes to their bills. Kailey has a long road ahead and I want them both to be able to focus on getting her the proper medical attention she so desperately needs so she can start to heal and come home soon.

I know with recent events, everyone is in a financial hardship. I just ask that if you cannot donate, please pray for her. We know God is in total control. But, we miss her so much and just want to be able to have her home soon.

I also ask that you please not reach out to ask for specifics and details, we don’t want to share anything she would not want us to. I promise, I will post updates on her progress and such as I can. ❤️
