On December 19, 2025, my daughter Kailey (at 32 weeks pregnant with her first child) went to the hospital because her neck and arm were swollen, and she was having trouble breathing. Over the next 3 days, they drained 2 liters of liquid from around her lung, which was partially collapsed, and discovered she had a blood clot. In their search for more blood clots, they discovered she had a softball-sized tumor near her heart. She is now on blood thinners for the blood clots, which could take months to break down.
She has since been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Although treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma has a very high success rate, she still has a long road ahead of her. She has a wonderful team of doctors caring for her, and it was decided that the best plan was to start chemo before the baby was born to ensure both she and the baby were safe.
In the meantime, Kailey is unable to work and her medical bills are huge. Anything you can do, including praying for Kailey, her husband Matt, and their son, who is due in February, would be very much appreciated.
