Our precious Kai returned home to our Heavenly Father on April 1st, 2023.

We are all devastated by the sudden loss of our sweet boy, who had been battling brain cancer for the last 2 years. He left behind his parents, Rylee and Vaughan, and his 2 younger siblings.

In 2021, at only 7 years old, Kai was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. He underwent a long surgery to remove the mass in his brain. After long rounds of grueling chemotherapy and radiation, Kai became cancer free in the beginning of 2022.

Just months after life became normal again, we were completely shocked and devastated to learn the cancer aggressively returned all over his spine and into his bones. Once again, he had to endure the horrendous effects of chemo and radiation.

Kai completed chemo and rang the bell in January 2023. In March, an MRI revealed the heartbreaking news that the cancer had returned for the 3rd time. Within a matter of days, our sweet Kai suddenly passed away.

Despite facing unimaginable physical and emotional pain associated with this aggressive childhood cancer, he never once gave up hope or stopped fighting. He always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude, inspiring everyone around him to stay strong.

Kai had the most unique and beautiful soul. Always making friends everywhere he went. His contagious laugh and smile would brighten up any room. Kai adored his family dearly and always lived up to the meaning of his name, “protector.”

He absolutely LOVED parties and cake and sweets. He never missed an episode of Great British Bake Off, and would critique his family's baking skills. He loved all things Mario and Harry Potter, playing nintendo switch, building legos, and reading books. Kai was SO imaginative and smart, and enjoyed building inventions.

Kai’s story has touched countless people and there have been many requests to help, which is why we created this page.
