Support Kaelyn’s Fight Against Liver Cancer

Hello Family and Friends, Kaelyn was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hepatoblastoma on September 11th. It is a rare form of pediatric liver cancer that affects around 100 children a year. Her symptoms started off as abdomen discomfort and one night we noticed that her stomach was very enlarged on right side and she couldn’t maintain her balance. Blood work, MRIs, and CT scans confirmed that she had this rare form of cancer.

Kaelyn is a sweet and energetic 3 year old. She loves gymnastics, swimming, learning Spanish, playing dress up, and taking care of her baby sister. Kaelyn is also a part time chef and loves cooking in her mini-kitchen. Her favorite dish to make is cupcakes with sprinkles!

As you can imagine, this diagnosis has turned our family’s world upside down. Kaelyn will need 18 weeks of chemotherapy to shrink her tumor before her surgeons can attempt to remove it and will continue to receive medical care through her recovery. She received her first dose of chemotherapy on Wednesday, September 13th. Kaelyn is a warrior and believes that her smile is her strength and superpower. She has started a long fight towards beating this cancer and getting back to preschool and tumbling with her gymnastics classmates.

We have set up this page to help our family with medical costs and treatments and to allow us to focus wholeheartedly on Kaelyn’s future and wellbeing.
