Help Kaela Beat Cancer

Update July 25: They found cancer on my lymph nodes, I will need radiation.
Hello, my name is Kaela and at 34 I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, a type of gynecological cancer, on June 20th 2024.
I got the call from the doctor when me and my husband were 30 minutes into a 2 hour road trip, and to my luck I was the one driving. Needless to say, we turned around almost immediately. The beginning was the roughest time for me emotionally. I spent almost two weeks not knowing anything more than "You have cancer" while we waited for the referral to process to the gynecology oncologist; the closest one being an hour and a half away from where we lived. High anxiety and "Dr Google" were not my friends during those days, but I did have some solid friends and family to help keep me straight and/or distracted as to not worry myself more.
Fortunately, after I was seen by the oncologist, things began moving very quickly. My first appt with them was on July 2nd or 3rd, and that day I had surgery scheduled for the 17th as long as a PET scan showed that we could do the hysterectomy to completely remove all of the cancer. The unfortunate part of moving so quickly is that all of our savings for medical have now been used up with no time to replenish. I know how much I am quoted with the surgery, but what I don't know is just how long I will be off of work for recovery time. I don't ask for much often but I am reaching out now because I am at my emotional and financial ends. Everything helps. And every cent of the money donated will be used first and foremost to making sure my medical gets paid, and then to keeping the lights and water going while I am healing. If there is remaining funds after, I will be donating it to GYNCA, a local charity for gynecological cancers who has already been an amazing emotional support system for me.
I appreciate everyone greatly, and many loves to you all. Together we will kick cancers *peach emoji*
