Kadir has spent a majority of his life serving and mentoring Muslim youth at respected institutions such as MCC and CPSA. This work has always felt like his calling - developing young people for the future, whether on the basketball court, in the gym, or through life guidance beyond athletics.
Recently, his life changed dramatically when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma. Funds raised will be used to help cover the cost of 18 weeks of intensive chemotherapy treatment and additional expenses that will be incurred during this difficult time in his life. Any donation would significantly help ease the financial burden on him and his family, as medical expenses will continue to accumulate throughout the course of treatment.
When he first received the diagnosis, he considered keeping his illness private. However, he soon realized that the many communities he has been a part of over the years have profoundly shaped his life for the better. Their generosity and selflessness give him hope and reaffirm his belief that when a brother is struggling, the community will rise to support him and ensure he is not alone. It is his hope that every donation is a source of reward for those who give.
