"KADER’S 7-MONTHS RECOVERY JOURNEY"
Hello everyone,
As many of you may already know, my beloved brother and coworker, Kader Azad, has recently been hospitalized due to serious heart disease.
It began on Friday, April 3rd, when he experienced chest pain. By the following day, the pain had worsened significantly, and he lost consciousness. His wife immediately called 911, and paramedics rushed him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered severe issues with blood flow to his heart and placed him on an Impella device to support his heart function.
After three days under close observation, doctors determined that his left ventricle is unfortunately unsalvageable. They have done everything possible at this stage and are now transferring him to the Henry Ford Heart Transplant Center. Based on further evaluation, he may require an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) or be placed on the waiting list for a heart transplant.
Kader is expected to remain hospitalized for at least a month, followed by a minimum of six additional months of recovery—God willing, if everything goes well. His current ejection fraction is only 15%, and doctors do not expect it to improve to the 35% needed for bypass surgery. We continue to place our trust in God.
Anyone who knows Kader knows how kind, gentle, and selfless he is. He is always smiling, always willing to help others, and one of the most hospitable people you could ever meet. Kader came to this country from Bangladesh over 15 years ago in pursuit of a better life for his family. He is a devoted husband and father to three beautiful children—a 7-year-old son, an 11-year-old daughter, and his eldest daughter, Tias, who is currently attending Cornell University on scholarship and preparing to graduate soon.
Kader is also a proud homeowner in Hamtramck, working hard every day to live out the American dream.
Unfortunately, Kader does not have significant savings, and this sudden medical crisis will place a tremendous financial burden on his family. As the sole provider, being out of work for at least seven months will make it incredibly difficult to cover essential expenses.
We are hoping to raise $60,000 to help support his family during this time. These funds will go toward basic living expenses such as:
- Mortgage and utilities (electricity, gas, water)
- Food and household needs
- Car payments and auto insurance
- Credit card bills
- Transportation for his children, including Tias’s travel to and from college and helping her return home after graduation
- School transportation for the younger children
Any remaining funds will help cover unexpected expenses that may arise during his recovery including medical expenses!
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to easing the burden on Kader and his family. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this message can make a meaningful difference.
All funds will go directly to his wife.
Please keep Kader in your prayers and pray for strength, healing, and peace for his entire family during this difficult time.
Thank you all for your support.
