Support Kaden's Journey to Self-Sufficiency

Kaden has Cerebral Palsy. His insurance company, UPMC FOR YOU has DENIED the wheelchair that would provide Kaden with the UTMOST INDEPENDENCE

It raises up so that he can be at eye level, and lets him stand upright alone.

The wheelchair itself is covered. But the sit-to-stand part is not. It is $10,000. It will have all the features his current wheelchair has, but with the sit-to-stand feature added on, would help so Kaden doesn't need to be transferred into a stander - he would be able to do it himself. Standing upright, would make going to the bathroom so much easier, with no transfer needed. Kaden would be able to stand up & get the stretching and lifestyle he so desires instead of sitting in a wheelchair all day. With the feature he would be able to reach and do quite a bit of things independently that he can't do while sitting. It would even drive with him being in a stand up position.

Kaden is going to be a 8th grader this year at Hopewell Junior High. He is loved by his family, teachers, and peers. Kaden always shows up to school with a smile, he asks others how they are doing, and he remembers everyone’s birthday!

Kaden enjoys playing sports like baseball, bocce & bowling. Being in a stand-up position would be the closest thing to a normal lifestyle. He also competes in Special Olympics. Please help us reach our goal for Kaden! Any donations are appreciated.
