Since 2018, the tragic Haleiwa incident. It has been every birthday, every holiday, every passing year is another reminder of how long our nephew, our son, our brother has been away from home while his case remains unresolved.
After more than 7 years of waiting and being held without means for bail. Kaden finally went to trial this past February. Sitting through those weeks, our family held our breath, hoping for clarity, hoping for closure. But the three-week trial ended in a mistrial due to a deadlocked jury, amid conflicting witness accounts and a separate individual’s confession. However the state continues to hold Kaden. As his aunt, watching this drag on year after year, it is devastating to see how long he has been held without a conviction. Leaving us another year without him.
We believe he deserves a fair and just process, and we believe he has already endured far more than anyone should while awaiting trail.
We know many of you who love Kaden, his music, and his spirit feel the same.
We are raising funds to support the fight to bring him home.
