My name is Kadeisha Barnett-Grant of Seaview District in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, now currently residing in the USA. Prior to my healthcare background, I've always aspired to formulate a charity organization in hopes of providing for and supporting the underprivileged in my community and surrounding communities.
In the wake of the recent category 5, “Hurricane Melissa,” that has devastated our country leaving countless families without basic necessities for survival, I've wholeheartedly decided that now is the time to take action.
My ambition is to raise money in order to purchase:
Non-perishable food items
Toiletries
Baby essentials
Blackout essentials
School supplies
(Other items such as shoes, clothing, and bedding in good condition will be donated)
These items will be packed in shipping barrels and expedited to Jamaica where they will be sorted into care packages and distributed to the people in need in and around my community. Remaining funds will be used to purchase rebuilding materials.
All transactions throughout the process will be recorded through receipts, and all donations received will be accounted for.
My goal is to reach US$7000 and I am seeking donations from anyone willing to donate and help the people of Jamaica in this difficult time. “Every likkle mek a muckle.”
Thank you in advance for your support, and with God's will, together we will make a difference.
Kadeisha Barnett-Grant
