Support Kadance in Memory of Tania

Hi, my name is Leslie Aldrich. Tania Schmidt-Alpers and I have been the best of friends since 1989. For 35 years, she was the most loving, thoughtful, and generous friend anyone could hope to have. I am devastated that she’s gone and that Kadance, her beautiful daughter, is left without her mother and best friend.

For any who didn’t know them well, it was Tania and Kadance against the world. Tania was an only child and all of her extended family is in Europe. Her friends were her family. Tania loved all of her friends dearly and helped build a family for Kadance.

At only 19 years-old, Kadance has her whole life ahead of her. Tania loved her more than anything else in this world and had big dreams for her. Kadance now has to find a way to go on without her. Kadance has more decisions and responsibilities than any 19 year-old should have to bear. For all of us feeling helpless and lost without our friend, can we channel that into a way to help Kadance?

I'm creating this GoFundMe account to help Kadance get through this extremely difficult time and not have to worry about how to pay for funeral expenses. More accurately, I’m doing this to help the most generous person I’ve ever known - I’m doing this to help Tania.

For clarification, Andrea, the listed beneficiary, is Tania’s executor and Trustee. She will ensure that the bills and living expenses are paid out of the fund on behalf of Kadance.
