Lenny Redwine shared his wide smile, warmth, and wonderful laugh with everyone he encountered.

 

Lenny passed away on Tuesday, Sept 10th at age 50 when his body surrendered to the many ailments he battled primarily due to diabetes. A lifelong athlete, Lenny played and coached basketball, football, and track.

 

The past few years for Lenny brought painful medical procedures and more than one hospitalization. He had many issues with his eye and soon his kidneys began to fail.

 

Not being able to participate fully in the life he loved and remain active with his sons took an incredible toll on Lenny. Still, he never missed his boys’ basketball and football games.

 

Lenny leaves behind his wife of 23 years, MiKacey, and three sons; Axum (16), Addis (14), and Tigray (8). This GoFundMe will provide much needed support for cremation and memorial services, urgent car repairs, the needs of their growing boys, and a safety net for Kacey as she adjusts to this sudden and heartbreaking loss.
