My name is Salina, and I’m here to ask our wonderful community to come together to support a close friend of mine and her fiancé. This situation is a bit unorthodox, because they have asked to stay anonymous. For the purposes of this fundraiser, I will be referring to my friend as K and her fiancé as S.

In November of 2024, S was diagnosed with aggressive Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma and Follicular Lymphoma. He underwent multiple chemotherapy treatments and hospital stays. It was a long 6 months, but in April of 2025, S received the news that he was in remission!

Unfortunately, in December of 2025, S suffered a seizure in the middle of the night and was rushed via ambulance to the ED, where they discovered the cancer they thought to be gone had spread and was now stage 4 cancer in his brain.

Chemotherapy began again. Over the next few months, S would be admitted for week-long hospital stays to receive treatment. K, S, and his oncology team decided that T cell therapy would be the best course of action going forward. However, the newest scans said otherwise; the cancer had spread aggressively. 5 rounds of radiation were performed before T cell therapy could even begin. In April of 2026, S was finally cleared to begin T cell therapy. During this treatment, S was admitted into the hospital for 2 weeks to monitor for risks of severe complications. This was followed by a month of daily appointments, 7 days a week.

Despite periods of positive response to treatment, complications have arisen and the disease continues to progress at a rapid rate. Over the past 8 months especially, S’s condition has required round-the-clock care. K is his sole caregiver at this time and has not been able to work. S is currently admitted to the ICU at Dartmouth, with no discharge date.

Savings and the occasional helping hand from family can only go so far. K is a nurse and cares so deeply for other people. She’s the kind of person that would literally give you the shirt off her back, watch your kids in the middle of the night, drive hours away to pick you up at the drop of a hat. All of it. Please help me help her while she navigates the most difficult season of her life. Watching your spouse slowly disappear and become only a small piece of who they once were is pain no one should have to bear. If we can help her financially, even a little bit, for gas money back and forth to the hospital, or a single mortgage payment, we are doing so much.
