My name is Justin. I am currently in a sticky spot financially. Long story short, I was a 24/7 live in care giver for my mother for seven years. Her Parkinson's progressed to the point of dementia. I had an infection in my right leg that caused an ulcer to form just above the ankle. I have had a wound on my leg for 3 months at this point and it is still healing. This prevented me from being able to care for mom safely. It was a really bad wound. She had to go into a skilled nursing facility. I am asking for help with covering living expenses as well as to correct my bank account ($-527). I am asking for help due to unemployment being denied because I did not meet the 40 hour/week requirements. The state paid my wages when I was a caregiver and never allowed me more than 156 hours per month, literally one hour short of a 40 hour week. I am in appeals, but that usually take quite a long time. This is a stopgap so I don't lose services and more importantly, my home. I am asking for the bare minimum to cover what is needed and my doggos.
I would be very grateful for any assistance.
