Support Justin's Mom in Her Cancer Battle

Hello All,

My name is Justin Mills and I am raising money for my mother's medical bills. She recently underwent an emergency surgery to remove her colon, appendix, and one ovary. She was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage IV appendiceal cancer post-op, and will be undergoing chemotherapy to battle her disease. Her stay at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD lasted nearly a month after going in for what she thought to be simple but painful stomach aches. This visit cost nearly $92,000 but fortunately her insurance covered all but about $4,000. She has worked full-time for as long as I can remember and is now worried about her financial situation with just so much uncertainty surrounding her situation. I am sure the medical bills will continue to come, and we are currently working on getting short-term disability filed for her to keep things afloat for now. I am painstakingly but kindly asking for donations and hope that any amount that is donated will help take a little stress off my mom's plate by at least paying her remaining balance with Meritus Medical Center. We know there is a long road ahead but my mother has never given up on anything in her life and I know with the love and support of her family, friends and community that she will fight this with everything she has. I will continue to update this page with the status of my mom's recovery as we anticipate the start of chemo around Thanksgiving.
