Support Justin's Journey to Stroke Recovery

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

On Sunday, May 5, 2024, I was at home and found my husband, my best friend, showing signs of a sudden and unexpected event that has turned our family’s life upside down. Justin was rushed to Elizabeth City Hospital and from there to Norfolk General, where through multiple CT scans and MRIs, it was confirmed that he had suffered a stroke with brain bleed. He had major surgery to alleviate the pressure on his brain. Justin continues to get stronger but this will be a long road to recovery.

Justin will need long-term care 24/7 in order to recover. He has a long and challenging road of recovery ahead including intense physical therapy.

This GoFundMe page is to support Justin getting the care and therapy he needs as quickly as possible. The funds will go towards out-of-pocket health care bills, loss of earnings, and stroke rehabilitation costs (physical therapy, equipment, etc).

Justin is a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and friend. He is hardworking and always the first to help when someone needs him. This time he needs all of you. We are reaching out to you to humbly ask for your support for Justin and our family during this extremely challenging time. We all know he is a fighter and has such a strong spirit and will recover. He just needs your support to get there.
