Hi, my name is Melissa and I’m writing this as both a sister and a daughter — something that’s not easy to do. It’s hard for our family to ask for help, but my brother needs support now more than ever.

My brother Justin, has been battling severe epilepsy, a neurological disorder that causes sudden, unpredictable seizures affecting the brain and body. These seizures have become so intense that he’s now having difficulty walking and performing daily tasks. After a difficult stay in the hospital, he’s now being admitted to a rehabilitation facility to help him regain his strength, balance, and mobility.

He’s unable to work while focusing on recovery, and our family is doing everything we can — but the medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and living expenses are more than we can manage alone.

We’re asking for help to cover his rehab and care costs so he can focus fully on healing. My brother has always been the kind of person who shows up for others — strong, giving, and full of heart. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
