Support Justin and His Family Fight Against Glioblastoma

Hello, my name is Janet Megee and I appreciate you taking a moment to read this story about my nephew Justin Borstad. To know Justin is to love him - he’s truly one of a kind! He is full of enthusiasm with an undeniable zest for life and would do absolutely anything for anyone. But right now, Justin needs OUR help.

Justin’s Journey

It began unexpectedly just over one year ago, while out with a close group of friends, Justin started complaining about a headache and then suffered the first of multiple seizures. After extensive blood work and CT/MRI scans, brain surgery was performed to remove what was thought to be a cyst, but sadly it was diagnosed as a glioblastoma (GBM), the most aggressive form of brain cancer.

Relentless Fight

Justin’s battle with glioblastoma has been nothing short of arduous. Since his diagnosis, he has endured four separate surgeries aimed at removing the persistent brain tumors. Each procedure has been followed by intense rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, which have tested his physical strength and resilience. Despite these overwhelming challenges, Justin's spirit remains unbroken, always finding a way to rebound even when his body struggles to keep up.

Through it all, Justin’s mom Cathy has been his unwavering pillar of support. She has juggled two jobs to ensure the family’s financial stability while leading his caregiving efforts with remarkable dedication. Their journey is a testament to the power of love, determination, and the human spirit. However, as they face the difficult road ahead, they need our collective support now more than ever.

Justin's future journey will present more challenges. He will require intensive physical therapy and medical care. Our family is sincerely grateful for the overwhelming support he has received thus far. However, we anticipate many hurdles ahead, and any form of assistance would be greatly appreciated.
