On Tuesday, October 21st, my husband, Justino Garcia, was involved in a serious work-related accident in Coweta County, Georgia. He was flown to Grady Hospital, where doctors performed a 4-hour surgery to repair an artery near his knee and restore circulation to one of his legs.

Doctors also informed us that he sustained several fractures in his pelvis and damage to both hip sockets, including an open fracture in the front of the pelvis. On October 24th, he underwent another major surgery, which lasted about 9 hours, to repair these injuries. The surgery went as planned, and he is now recovering in the ICU. He still has another surgery planned for his knee, and his recovery will take time.

Justino is a hardworking, caring man who has always been there for his family and friends. Now it’s our turn to be there for him. He faces a long road to recovery and will need ongoing therapy and support.

We are raising funds to help with:
• Family travel and lodging during his hospital stay
• Lost wages while he recovers

El martes 21 de octubre, mi esposo Justino García sufrió un grave accidente de trabajo en el condado de Coweta, Georgia. Fue trasladado en helicóptero al hospital Grady, donde los doctores realizaron una cirugía de 4 horas para reparar una arteria cerca de su rodilla y restaurar la circulación en una de sus piernas.

También nos informaron que sufrió varias fracturas en la pelvis y daño en ambas caderas, incluyendo una fractura abierta en la parte frontal de la pelvis. El 24 de octubre tuvo otra cirugía de aproximadamente 9 horas para reparar estas lesiones. Gracias a Dios, la operación salió bien y Justino continúa recuperándose en la UCI. Todavía tiene una cirugía pendiente en la rodilla, y su proceso de recuperación tomará tiempo.

Estamos recaudando fondos para ayudar con los gastos familiares, alojamiento durante su hospitalización y la pérdida de ingresos mientras se recupera.
