Obituary

Justine F. Meyindjou, 70, peacefully transitioned on March 3, 2025, at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (Hospice Care), surrounded by her two loving daughters, Elyane and Joelle, and dear friends.
Born in Cameroon, Justine later embarked on a journey to the United States, where she built a life filled with resilience, love, and purpose. In 2024, she proudly became a U.S. citizen, a milestone she celebrated with great joy. Her first question to the immigration officer was whether she could now votea testament to her deep appreciation for civic engagement. In November 2024, she cast her ballot for the first time, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Justine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elie Meyindjou, and her cherished daughter, Veronique Meyindjou. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever honor her legacy: her children, Elyane Meyindjou Eyoum (Michel) of Lyon, France; Bertrand Meyindjou of Cameroon, Joelle Meyindjou Duputel (Philippe) of San Diego, CA; Dany Meyindjou of Cameroon. She was a devoted grandmother to Franck Mbenda (Tokyo, Japan), Emilie Duputel & Julien Duputel (San Diego, CA), and Nelson, Jessica & Diel (Lyon, France), each of whom brought her immense joy.
In recent years, after facing health challenges, Justine became a resident of Keswick Multi-Care Center in Baltimore, MID, where she found comfort, kindness, and companionship. She was deeply grateful for the compassionate care she received from the staff and treasured the visits from friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 7-9 PM at the Keswick Multi-Care Center Library in Baltimore, MID. Additional Celebrations of Life will take place later this year in Cameroon, San Diego, CA and Lyon, France.
