Justina was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
She found a lump during a self-exam, and after further testing, doctors discovered a total of three lumps. One of them—the one she found herself—was confirmed to be malignant. Justina will have a mastectomy on August 15th and is currently waiting to determine her full treatment plan, but she will have radiation, will possibly have chemotherapy, and will need to take unpaid medical leave from work for an unknown period of time.
This diagnosis comes at an already challenging time. Earlier this year, Justina - a single mom to her 14-year-old son, Samuel - had to replace her car and take on a car payment. She also had to move unexpectedly and is adjusting to a new lease. With no income during her leave, she’ll need support to keep up with basic living expenses like rent, groceries, bills, and upcoming medical bills.
Justina has always shown up for her people. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If not, please consider sharing this page—every bit of support truly helps.
