Family, friends, and community, we are reaching out to you on behalf of our beloved, Justina Maka. She is a brave woman of 36 years and was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Ovarian cancer. Justina, an NZ/Bay Area native, moved to Colorado a year ago for a better opportunity to support herself and her mother(who resides in California) financially.

Unfortunately, with this new diagnosis, she is unable to work and has been confined to the hospital for the past 3 months, receiving multiple treatments and further testing/monitoring. Our beloved sister has a very rare and aggressive Ovarian cancer. She has to undergo 6 different chemos simultaneously, which is 5 times more than the normal rate of a person receiving chemotherapy. Treatment will continue for the next two months in hopes of being eligible for surgery. In addition to overcoming this debilitating cancer, Justina has been struck with an overwhelming amount of bills.

As a community, we ask for your support to help ease some of the weight off Justina’s shoulders. Any donation, prayers, or words of encouragement, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and will definitely impact Justina’s road to recovery.
