Support Justin Wood’s long road to recovery

Hello, my name is Chad Middleton. I am setting this account up for a good friend of mine Justin Wood and his family. Justin, was in a bad Motorcycle Accident and he has sustained injuries that will take a long road to recovery. Justin is a hard worker and an amazing Dad. He will be out of work for a while, Anything will help them through this difficult time. Much love and thank you all for your help.

On Saturday night (8/24) Justin hit the median in the center of Buhach Road. The median doesn't have any reflectors on it or a warning sign saying that the road is curving. Upon hitting it, it sent himself and the bike flying landing about 100-150ft away from hitting it.

From the impact he broke his pelvic bone in 3 places, fracture on the right side and 2 on the left side, broke his right foot in multiple places and his right hand. Has 2 compression fractures in his back along with his tail bone being broken and some.ribs as well. He has road rash on the left side of his body, and a few scrapes here and there.

He underwent surgery for the left side of his pelvic bone yesterday(8/26), they placed 3 screws in it and fixed his tail bone as well.

Today (8/27), he was taken for X-rays to confirm the placement of the screws. Everything looks good. He also got wound care done today, and will have the bandages changed daily.

He can't bare weight on his right leg due to the broken foot and is very, very limited to weight on his left side. They say he needs anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks for the pelvis bone to heal.

He still needs to have surgery on his right foot and that is tentative scheduled for September 3rd. His right hand also needs attention, but says that can happen as an out patient.

No info on when he will be able to be discharged from the hospital.
