I’m Justin Vidal’s brother, and I wanted to share a bit of our family’s journey. Recently, Justin received the incredible gift of a heart transplant. We’re overwhelmed with gratitude and relief, and we also know the road to recovery is long and careful.

If you know Justin, you know he’s the “Glue Guy” in our family—the one who keeps us connected, shows up with a joke or a helping hand, and makes sure everyone feels loved. He’s a devoted dad to my amazing niece, Amanda, and a loving husband to Lorena. Seeing him fight through this with his usual positivity has been both heartbreaking and inspiring.

We started this GoFundMe to help ease the financial strain while Justin is out of work and focused on healing. Even with insurance, the costs are significant—hospital bills, rehabilitation, lifelong anti-rejection medications, frequent follow-up appointments, and the everyday expenses that don’t pause when life does. Our hope is to reduce the stress on Justin and Lorena so they can put their energy where it belongs: on recovery and family.
